David Cookson focuses on senior-level and C-suite appointments in insurance, retail and commercial banking, Fintech, cards and payments. He also leads the firm’s Financial Services Corporate Officers Practice and has completed a range of functional assignments including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Auditor and Chief Compliance Officer. Initially based in London, David now works in Asia Pacific to help serve both multinationals and locally headquartered clients with their leadership development needs, incorporating succession planning, culture analysis and board assessment. David is also a member of the CFO and Board Practices, where he has conducted cross-industry finance searches, including Non-Executive and Chair of Audit and Risk assignments. David is based in Singapore.

David joined the CFO Practice at Russell Reynolds Associates more than 10 years ago. Previously, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialized in audit and advisory work for various financial services clients.

David received his BA in history from Reading University. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
